Best massager ever for sore neck and shoulders... even better than the Thumper II!
I don't understand the previous reviewer's comments about not being able to use this unless sitting. I was lying down last night on my stomach and it worked great on my back! I like it better than my Thumper II because it's much easier for me to handle being more lightweight! I was never able to handle the Thumper on my own. And I love all the massage choices, especially the chopping motion... it's as if someone is pounding on my back, and it's so targeted that I can spend as much time as I want at one location without it itching as with most massagers! (I have an hour to an hour and a half commute to work each way, so my neck and shoulders get extremely sore.) I love it so much I bought another one for my boss, and am thinking of giving one to everyone in my family for Christmas!

design flaw
The reason for 3 stars is simply that you cannot use this product to massage your back unless you are sitting. And how would you relax precisely those areas that you want massaged if you are sitting? You can't lay and use this product, and neither you can ask someone to massage your back with this massager. Look at the pictures and you'll understand; the awkward "head" of this massager won't allow it.

I was looking for Panasonic Massager ever since they discontinued the Panabrator. I thought this one, advanced model, would equal original Panabrator's performance. Ordered it on Amazon, cheapest price around, but am returning it now. Refrain from buying unless you can imitate model's (see pictures) idillic enjoyment.

Save your money
Should have tossed it in the garbage instead of the garage .. better yet, should have returned it. If you are hurting and need a massager, look beyond this thing. Seems like a good idea, but this dumb thing flops around like a fish out of water and you can't apply pressure anywhere, let alone where you need it. Keep looking, save your money.
