Editorial Reviews
Review
"G is for Games sounds promising with its theme of "games of skill and chance,"....Kristina Wright's "Seven Minutes in Heaven," about a young man tied in a closet so that he is "forced" to be the object of desire for a series of increasingly more aggressive and sexy women visitors was the best of the lot, and very hot and squirm-inducing; "The Big Touchdown" by Erica Dumas was surprisingly steamy as well, featuring a convincing cheerleader and football player in the back seat on touchdown night. Alison Tyler's "The Game" revved things up at the end with an edgy tale of sex and BDSM among a group of queer women rock stars and groupies...I recommend reading G is for Games for the very good stories..." -- T.R. Customer Reviews
delightful and fun in a very pretty package
I originally put this as a comment under Mr. Webb's 1 star review, but then, i realized I should just add it as my own review of the book, so here it is:
actually i loved this book. the games were varied--from Twister and Pool to Baseball and Football. The stories were totally sexy and varied. my favorite was Playing for Keeps by Emily Dubberley, but i also really liked Rachel Kramer Bussel's take on a chess competition Check, Mate.
i have the whole alphabet thus far (can't wait for the rest of them to come out) and have enjoyed them all. the stories are fun and the covers are pretty and the spines make all sorts of fun words if you have enough of them.
it's fair for everyone to have individual viewpoints, but Mr. Webb's negative review doesn't give any information. and the personal attack on the editor seems totally unjustifiable. to say "Don't buy ANY of her books" seems asinine. just because i can't stand It's A Wonderful Life doesn't mean that i'd tell the entire world to NEVER EVER watch a single Frank Capra movie. i LOVE Mr. Smith Goes To Washington. it's the same with authors and editors. and i really don't see anything specific about what you didn't like. *and* one person's perverse is another person's normal.

G is for Games
This is another fun book in the alphabet series, but I didn't enjoy it as much as some of the others. In this one, the stories were either really hot or did nothing for me. Though what leaves me cold may be great to someone else. The stories aren't bad or poorly written, so I think it's still worth checking out, especially if you like the other books.
Of the 13 stories, I enjoyed 6. The naughty games of Twister in "No Limits" and Seven Minutes in Heaven in "Seven Minutes in Heaven" are fun, but are my least favorites. "Showtime" and "The Big Touchdown" have a good time getting dressed up. My number one favorite is "Nine Ball, Corner Pocket" where a couple's bet lets them live out a fantasy.
While only some stories are centered around conventional games, all of them play on the back and forth between the characters. Players taunt and tease to break their opponents. In these games, losing isn't so bad.
G is for Games
It has just the erotic texture to keep fingers turning pages. You are thru before you even know it. Thanks Allison Tyler
