Customer Reviews
Afternoon Delight, an understatement.
This is one of the best erotica collections I've come across. There are a lot of stories inside that are sure to please just about any taste. I liked that it was geared towards couples, that way you can pass the book back and forth or read over each others' shoulders! All in all, I would have to recommend this one. It's well written, sexy and a keeper! Also liked and would suggest:99 Martinis Uncensored. Good reading, thru and thru!
Predawn Passion to Nighttime Naughtiness
I love this collection! It's hot and it's full of variety. Alison Tyler has assembled fabulous pieces about couples, written by an impressive list of erotica writers. Some of the pairs in the stories are in new relationships; some are still bringing spice to relationships that have withstood the test of time.
Each story was a gem. Here are my little snippets on a few of my favs:
*Nikki Magennis' piece sets the mood with a super-short bit set in the wee hours.
* I don't know that I've necessarily been a fan of early morning sex, but Rachel Kramer Bussel's "Early Birds" sure makes a good case for it! Very hot!
* Teresa Noelle Robert's story, "Country Pleasures," has a great setting in an Irish castle. And, it has my favorite line in the whole book: "He eased inside her like friction had become obsolete." I don't know why, I just love that line!
* Ric Amadeus' story "Forbidden Fruit" is simply organic and orgasmic!
* Jeremy Edward's "Another Hole Week" is sure to tickle your fancy - charming, hot, clever! This is a man with a very sexy mind!
* I really got a kick out of "Chloe's Confession" by Sophia Valentini. There was just something about the image of all of those panties - and that description of the steamy interaction....
* Alison Tyler's own contribution to the book, "Morning, Noon and Night," was smokin' hot - such a clever commentary about bosses and about married people.
* "Disco Queen" by Sommer Marsden caused me to hear Barry Gibb's falsetto voice singing "You Should Be Dancing" for the rest of the day. Such sexy, pulsating fun!
* Jacqueline Applebee's "Knit One, Purl Two" is one of the most original bondage stories I've read. I love a good yarn!
* Rita Winchester's "Night Shift" is a fabulous 3 a.m. quickie!
* Craig Sorensen's "Square Loophole" is romantic, beautiful and poetic (she writes, as she lets out a big, sunny sigh...). Such wonderful writing and wonderful imagery!
That's merely a teeny taste of 11 of the 24 around-the-clock tales for couples. The remaining baker's dozen are equally as tantalizing. This is definitely a book you will enjoy - and that you should share with someone you enjoy!
GOOD erotica!
In college, my favorite place to be was the local bookstore, where I'd always make a bee's line for either the romance, or manga sections - whichever I could afford. There, I discovered erotica... which is why I'm NOT a big erotica fan. Too many times I'd get a book with BDSM, or anal - things I discovered I don't enjoy reading. But I still like erotica every now and then, though I find myself with another book too hardcore for my taste. When I saw erotica for couples, I knew I'd be taking a risk, but I bought it after reading the sample. I was pleasantly surprised. The stories are short, sexy, and don't leave me with an image I don't want. Thes stories were all based on a couple who were in love having great - no, mind-blowing - sex... with very mild rough play at times. It's addictive, as well as inspiring, to some degree. I suggest people like me, who thought erotica was all about SM, anal, and stuff they're just not into read this. It's not crude, and I really liked it that way.
