Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher
M. Christian is author of over 100 published short stories. His work can be found in Friction, Best Gay Erotica, Best American Erotica, Best Lesbian Erotica, Best Bisexual Erotica 2, and many other books and magazines. He's the editor of over seven anthologies, including Best S/M Erotica (also from Black Books) and Rough Stuff and Rough Stuff II (both with Simon Sheppard). A collection of his gay men's erotica, Dirty Words, is available from Alyson Books, and a collection of his lesbian erotic fiction, Speaking Parts, is forthcoming (also from Alyson Books). He thinks WAY too much about sex.

Lucky to know3
several of the authors, and have a signed copy. My favorite is the one by A.J. Heard, and I think it will knock your socks off. Bill Brent and Carol Queen also have what I call great stories in this fun and interesting book.

So cool to get inside these writers' heads!5
Curious about what makes somebody write erotica, I bought this book. I was pleasantly surprised to find honest, heartfelt, and sometimes uncomfortable admissions of the real motivations behind the desire to write about sex. These writers (well, most of them, anyway) shed intelligent light not only on the crafting of erotica, but also on the process of writing it. They all have different reasons and rarely are they reasons you'd expect! Great idea for a book -- wish somebody had done it sooner. Highly recommend if you're like me and love to know what makes things erotic and what makes erotica writers put pen to paper.

Not for the faint of arousal4
In 27 stories by some of the best known erotica and porn writers of our time, almost every imaginable sexual attraction, scenario, or activity is described. This isn't fiction, however, but accounts of the real lives and interests of these authors (all of whom are much much risque than myself in reallife). Every type of pairing can be found but don't think this is for hets, gays, or bis because the point of the book isn't really arousal (you'll find plenty that turns you both on and off) but to share how sexuality is experienced by real people who in turn create fantasies for the rest of us. I, honestly, did not find myself turned on very much but I found it all very interesting. If you are looking for pages upon pages of arousal, look elsewhere; if you want to see how strange real sex can be, then give this book a try.
