Customer Reviews

Appalling1
I was really disappointed in this book after reading all the rave reviews. First off, the editting was horrible. I'm tempted to reread the book and highlight everything that was wrong with the punctuation and spelling, then send it back to the publisher.

I was expecting a good lesbian story. What I got was a heterosexual romance novel which used two women as characters. Veronica (the blantantly "male" character) rescues Rose (the hideously "female" character) from a life of poverty. The author even went so far as to have Rose become Veronica's secretary. Have you ever seen those bad movies where the boss and secretary have a relationship? It's exactly like that.

Furthermore, the plot is so unlikely it's not even funny. It was like watching "A Walk to Remember" with that Christian girl who has leukemia and the "popular boy" falls in love with her. I laughed out loud during the movie, and I groaned and gagged through this book. Extremely sappy, sickeningly sweet, and very heterosexual. It read like a bad made for TV Lifetime movie. With all the rave reviews I expected more depth, stronger feminine characteristics in Veronica (come on, she's a man with a hot body. I imagned her to look like Bette from the L Word), and overall more realism. Do NOT read this book if you're looking for something that challenges the heterosexual norm.

My recommendation is "Tipping the Velvet" by Sarah Waters. That was excellent. I'm a sucker for historical fiction so that might be part of it, but I couldn't put it down the first time I read it. I'm rereading it again, and I absolutely love it.

Classic Love Story!5
I really enjoyed Accidental Love. It was a great love story from cover to cover. This is the first book I have had the pleasure of reading from BL Miller but, I will be sure to read more! You will fall in love with the characters in this book. They are all well written. Veronica Cartwright is strong and powerful, not to mention very wealthy but, she still carries her insecurities within herself like everyone else. Then there is Rose Grayson, a victim of circumstance. Rose is sweet and very likeable. She goes through a lot and has had a hard life but, she doesn't let it get her down. Two women brought together by a twist of fate but will they be able to over come secrets and lies and find true happiness with each other? Read and find out...you won't be disappointed in this one! Enjoyable and easy read. This book flows nicely and has a great story all the way through. I will keep this book in my collection to read again! Highly recommended!

How can one fall in love with the woman who hit you on the street? A drunk driver, no less.

This novel is romantic and well-written. The characters hidden behind truths find what is ailing them.

Don't miss this one.
