Needs Space for Air
I like this rack a lot with respect to containing four drives, but there is barely any space between each drive. Inevitably this means lots of heat if multiple drives are running. I just had a disk failure on one of mine and I can't help but wonder if it had something to do with lack of ventilation. Maybe, maybe not.

LaCie should improve on this by adding some space between each of the drives.

This thing really works. Saves space.
Took me a while to assemble it, but it's sturdy, and works very well. I've got a LaCie hard drive and a LaCie CD/DVD writer solidly screwed into the top two slots (there are four slots) and two smaller drives of other brands stacked below them (but not screwed in). Saves a lot of space. I guess it's only meant to accommodate LaCie brand items. I wish these things were standardized but that'll never happen.

Essential to keep desk organized.
I have five LaCie drives and I am so happy to have this rack. I have four drives in the rack and one more sitting on top. Great accessory for keeping multiple LaCie drives organized.
