Product Description

The bestselling author of For Her Pleasure and Sweet Surrender delivers another winner-the kind of erotic romance readers are craving.

For five years, Serena has run Fantasy Incorporated and has devoted her time to fulfilling her clients' fantasies. Never her own. Until now...

Her most secret desire is to give ownership of her body to a man. Someone who will command her, pleasure her, and have complete authority over her. So she seeks out Damon Roche, owner of an exclusive sex club and a man strong enough to make her do anything he wants. Anything.

Together they'll journey into a world she's only dreamed of. She's given the opportunity to immerse herself in a different life while her normal one waits for her to return whenever she wishes. Damon has no desire to let her go, however. Serena is the woman he's long searched for, and it's up to him to convince her to stay when the game is all over with. He wants their fantasy to become their reality and for Serena to remain his pampered, cherished submissive.

A seriously hot and good read.5
I didn't think I'd like this one as much as I did. However, the whole fantasy thing--giving a guy ownership--was appealing, not because I'd personally want to do it, but reading about it is defintely a way to live vicariously! i'd say this is erotica romance at its very best and I will pick up more by this author. It's that good. I also liked Breaking the Girl and Eager to Please: Two Erotic Novels of Submission.

Just what I needed!5
I haven't quite finished the book, but so far, it is great! Good, steamy sex, great M/s and BDSM scenes.

Better than most.3
Serena James is a successful businesswoman with strong sense of self and independence. She's had a good upbringing and a pleasant life in Houston with two best friends she can tell anything to, and can give it right back if necessary. As the owner and director of Fantasy Incorporated, it is her job to fulfill the fantasies of other people. It can be satisfying, helping people indulge in their whims, but as Serena contemplates her own whims and fantasies, the appeal of her job is beginning to lose meaning.

So who knew her one fantasy would be the complete opposite of who she is, and become a slave--a possession and submit to the will of another? Serena sure as hell doesn't want to admit it.

Unable to let go of a strange and dark desire that is beginning to overcome her, Serena enlists the help of her friends. Julie who is the voice of reason, and Faith, who ultimately leads her to Damon Roche. Himself a businessman, and owner of The House, an exclusive sex club, he can understand the confident woman that Serena is, and in the demands she needs fulfilled. As the revelation of Serena's unusual fantasy is revealed, it is Damon who realizes he is the only man to give what Serena wants. As a man who is certain of what he wants, his sights soon turn from his own fantasy and demanding nature, to Serena who becoming more real to him than he ever expected. But for Serena, who knows she cannot be what Damon wants in a woman, that whatever ecstasy there is to be had in her fantasy, returning to reality and letting Damon go, just might break her heart.

For a romance/erotica tale, Banks, surprisingly delivers, though this is by no means a deep book. Where most authors plan everything around sex, sex, and more sex and little else, Banks attempts to insert some mild and gentle character development and introspection, which gives the storyline enough meat to not make you feel like you're reading a manual on mating rituals--though she does that quite well. It is cleverly written with snappy dialogue, characters who are endearing but rendered superficially, but helped by the smooth pacing and only a few sections where it gets a little dull. Damon, while the typical ultra modern, tall-dark-and-handsome, has a sensitive side which Banks tries to show by his strong relationship with his mother. The way Banks wrote it and incorporated it into the story was a bit off and at times, weird and while it made me itch my head as to what she was trying to do, it did manage to make Damon less tiff and formal. The ending was a bit disappointing, considering the character's renege on the very reasons they came together -- Serena fantasizing about submitting to a man, while Damon actually wants that in real life and Banks completely glosses over it with a fairy tale wrap up and done in a rush to cover it up.

To break up the scenes and intensity of those scenes (a-hem), Banks has woven in a secondary story involving her friend Julie, which will obviously lead to her own book, eventually. I found myself really liking those parts, while sparse, were amusing and well placed.

Don't be put off by the slave/master element to this story, which might rankle some. Banks never gets degrading, or too sappy too often, just pushes a little into the fetish and by no means an exotic sexual taboo, though maybe not what some would consider as the usual foreplay and sex games. It's a fantasy, so just go with it and don't read too much into it there actually is. It's good enough for one read, and as the second of a series (Sweet Surrender [Faith/Gray], Sweet Persuasion [Damon/Serena], Sweet Seduction [Julie/Nathan], Sweet Temptation [Micah/Angelina--not yet published]), I didn't feel like I was missing anything from reading out of order. However, I found that reading one of Banks' book is one thing, and reading more of her books another. They are all mostly the same, written with little variation at all. All the men are the same, just different names and looks, as are the women, with the exact same storylines. After a while, the eye-brow raise and a small smile got lowered to a bored sigh and a shake of the head, the books getting more boring and predictable, unimaginative with empty calories that gave me a bigger toothache with each one. It'll fulfill an initial whim, but nothing more and easily forgettable.
