Customer Reviews

Great motivational supplement to the book...5
I love these CDs. I have been listening to them and I KNOW that I will listen to them many times in the years to come. I am working through The Artist's Way program and hearing Julia talk to her students and explain some of the material is invaluable. It is also amazingnly motivational. Hearing her makes you realize that you can move past your creative blocks and make a creative life for yourself. I highly recommend these. They are the gift that keeps on giving.

This tape will leave you feeling juiced and inspired to blast through your creative blocks by revealing secrets and insights for reclaiming artistic vitality.

During this taped lecture and interview, Julia Cameron responds with wit and wisdom to frequently asked questions about her book the "Artist's Way." Her humor, depth and clarity are a direct translation of the power of creative recovery.

Conversations with Julia4
Quite honestly I have found the CD's to be much better at explaining her "method" than her books and I have read them all except for the very latest (2008-2009). I really enjoyed the conversations with Julia where she explained her method and the importance of long hand, no computer, three pages each and every morning. She feels that the computer allows you to type and get alot of junk out that is about as worthy as the ether it goes into while writing long hand unto paper, forces you to slow down and somewhat organize what is most important and see the all important pauses that force you to face your fears and go forward. I don't think her writing in her books captures that as well as her verbal explanation. I would recommend following this CD with the On Writing by Ayn Rand, also on CD and really get into your creative space and kickstart your writing/creating habit. Cheers
