Transitional Readers
"Legamus" means "Let's read!" in Latin. Legamus Transitional Latin readers bridge the chasm between the easy, beginner Latin encountered in introductory textbooks and the more difficult, initially frustrating authentic Latin ancient Roman authors.

Transitional readers are designed to increase reading fluency and improve understanding and comprehension of authors as a prerequisite to appreciation of the author in subsequent courses and studies.

These textbooks have been written by teams of 2 teachers -- a secondary school teacher who understands the difficulties faced by intermediate students and a college professor who has special knowledge of the author.

These texts are intended for intermediate and upper level students, at the secondary and college/university level. They could be used as introductory texts before beginning more difficult works by individual writers or as a survey course.

Independent adult learners of Latin will also appreciate these books written by master teachers.
