Bring sparkle and light to a room with the addition of this glitter lamp from Lava Lite, the manufacturer of the original lava lamp forty years ago. The 14-1/2-inch tall lamp features a sleek silver chrome base and cap, between which rests the lamp’s glass globe. After the polarized plug has been inserted properly into an electrical outlet, the lamp gradually heats the 20-ounce globe’s nonhazardous contents. Silver glitter churns and floats through blue liquid once the lamp has reached the ideal temperature. An included 25-watt bulb provides heat and illumination for the glitter’s whirling activity. If the lamp fails to heat up, the lamp may require a replacement refrigerator bulb. Avoid running or storing the glitter lamp in sunlight to preserve the fluids’ colors. As the lamp becomes very hot during operation, one should not touch it while operating and keep it out of the reach of small children. Do not power the lamp for longer than ten hours as this may cause permanent malfunction. Likewise, do not shake, stir, or drop the lamp, particularly while hot. Breaking the globe’s seal by loosening the cap or bottle not only upsets the lamp’s ability to work properly, but also voids the 90-day limited warranty. Way better then wax
Perfect ! Love the glitter type! The wax type Lava Lamps eventually stop floating around, the wax just stays at the bottom. The glitter lamps last a VERY long time and this is very pretty. The glass gets very warm, so I would not recommend for any kids rooms under the age of 12.
This lamp is very cool to look at !

Lava Power
I seem to like the glitter lamps more than the lava lamps. They are great for a night light or a low powered light for a bedroom. This lamp is very "cool".

good purchase
My 3 and 5 year old love this as a night light in there room. It works best on a timer so it does not get to hot. Makes great sparkle designs on their ceiling.
