Customer Reviews
Great case but problematic belt clip design
The quality of Krusell's cases is very high and I really like them (I have had two). One feature of these cases that is appealing is Krusell's Multidapt system that enables you to purchase different clips for attaching a case to your dashboard in your car, the strap on your backpack, the handlebar on your bike, etc. You can even remove the button on the back of the case entirely. So, if I like these cases so well, why only 3 stars? The problem is that the button that attaches to the back of the case and the slot into which it slides is flimsy. I have have this fail about 3 times - making it impossible to securely attach the case to anything. Fortunately, Krusell replaced my cases for free but it gets annoying. If you want a case that attaches to many places, this is really a great choice. If you only want to attach it to your belt, I have found other cases more durable; in particular, E&B's Slipper for the TX is very solid and less prone to breakage.
fast service, wonderful product
after debating on over a dozen palm leather cases, this was the best choice. fits extremely well the TX, easy to open and use. love the way the top folds back and locks with the magnetic closure. better than the ones that open like a book, wonderful product.
I love this case.
I love this case. Using with my Palm TX. It's built very very well. Looks sharp and slick. Holds your TX in place brilliantly. It really looks even better in person than it does in the pictures on the internet, which can't be said about a lot of products these days. We're all sick of ordering something that looks real nice and opening the box and finding junk.
The one and only weird thing I'm not crazy about is the headphone jack hole in the case, not that I can think of a better alternative though. I'll explain...
With the case closed, the hole lines up perfectly with your headphone jack, and a headphone plug plugs in just fine. But... if you flip open the case it puts pressure on the plug. We all know the fragility of mini headphone jacks and I'd hate to end up shorting it out by putting pressure on it. You can get around it by holding your finger on the top of the case, while carefully opening the front flap, but this is kind of tedious. This becomes a problem when using this as an MP3 player for walking, exercising, etc. Say you're going for a stroll, taking the dog around the block, you find your playlist/album/whatever, start playing it, close the case, insert your headphone, and you're on your way. Now you find you need to adjust the volume slightly, or skip a track because you keep hearing "number 9, number 9, number 9" in your head, and you just want to get to some upbeat walking music. You need to open the flap to get to the navigation keys or use the touchscreen with the stylus to change your volume or change your track. But you'll need to be careful of putting pressure on the headphone plug. Not to mention, you will not be able to get your stylus out unless you do remove the headphone plug. Your alternate workaround is just leaving the case open, but that leaves your screen vulnerable. To avoid the trouble, you could take your headphone out everytime you do this, but who wants to do that? Besides, constantly plugging and unplugging your headphone plug puts wear and tear on that fragile mini jack as well.
I guess it's one of those, "they can't think of everything" things. Or can they? I guess the upside is, at least they GIVE you a headphone hole. If they didn't I'd have no choice but to keep the cover flipped open whenever I'm listening to music.
My thought is maybe this will become less of an issue as the leather softens, but I'm not sure it will. The leather is tough (and that's a good thing) and sturdy.
All in all, even with the headphone thing, I highly recommended this to anyone looking for a really nice case for their Palm TX (the price is great too!).
