CHEAPLY REDESIGNED FOR THE PSP 20001
To answer the first question on everyone's mind, yes. This newly redesigned PSP 2000 case WILL fit your PSP game console even if you have the 2200mAh battery with extended back-plate. There is designated cutout in the rubber that allows the PSP 2000 to rest perfectly in place with or without the extended battery cover.

Now the explanation for the one star rating:

The case itself looks a lot sleeker in the package and in pictures than envolped around the PSP system itself. It has a cheap plasticy feel to it complete with a second rate, floating hinge that always seems as if its on the verge of breaking loose.

Also, unlike other PSP cases I've owned, the PSP logo isn't etched or inscribed onto the case lid, even though it looks that way in pictures. The PSP trademark on top is just a thin piece of printed cardboard placed underneath the clear shell.

This case also comes complete with small rubber grips that, when opened properly, can be used to stand the case upright so you can view video files without holding the PSP in your hands. Only problem is the rubber grips never seem to hold onto whatever surface its standing on. It will slowly start to slide downward unitl it is laying flat on the table, the counter, the desk...etc..

This case looks, feels and performs more like a $5.00 cheapo instead of a $20.00 quality product. For this price I would find something better (and you can...very easily) instead of settling for this lesser product.

Not a bad case.4
Note that is is for the PSP-2000 Series only and clearly states on the back of the package "Do not attempt to use it with any other PSP model". As I only have the PSP Slim then I can not test the any other model. In response to another reviewer here they say that the PSP symbol is not "on" the case but on a cardboard piece... so what? It keeps people from scratching off the PSP logo from constant wear and tear on the outside of the case and for those that want to remove the logo without damaging the case are also allowed to do so. I'll agree tha the "Made in China" etching on the front of the case is annoying.

Review: Great case with solid feeling plastic. Rubber insets are removable and I'm guessing it's so you can clean them because the PSP would not fit properly without them. The latch seems a bit too easy to open and you may have to squeeze the case slightly to get it to latch back properly. When the case is open you have full access to all buttons and hook-ups except the Wi-fi enable button at the top which is half-way covered. The PSP Slim fits perfectly and the rubber backing is already designed to hold the extended-life battery but it appears even without the extended battery it would still fit nicely. There is an extra screen protector piece that folds down over the PSP to 1) Hold it in place and 2) What else? Protect your screen. When the case is closed you still have access to the L/R buttons, power/hold button, the DC in (charger) and video/audio out ports. So you can charge the PSP while it is in the case and closed as well as start a UMD video, hook it up to your TV with the appropriate cables, close the case and enjoy UMD video on your TV. A minor problem is the USB connection... while they cut the plastic out for the USB connector the plastic is simply too thick to allow the USB cable to fully connect into the PSP while it is in the case.

On a side note, I have the leather strap on my PSP that came with the PSP Pouch and this Case does leave room for that to stick out while still attached so it won't be a problem if you have anything attached to that loop on the bottom left-hand side of the PSP next to the video/audio port.

Excelllent PSP 2000 CASE4
Hello this is an excellent PSP 2000 case its those what it was made for to protect your PSP 2000 from breaking. The design its a lot like the Logitech case that came out for the original PSP back in 2005 is strong hard plastic and it secures your PSP 2000 very well. Also it has openings for the headphones, AC adapter the power button and the L1 AND R1 button as well. Unfortunately it does not have an opening for the memory stick so If you want to put a memory stick you will have to remove the PSP 2000 from the case. Now for the reviewer at the bottom that said that this case is made in "China" who cares. Everything is made in "China" including that computer that you used to type this review and so far it hasn't fail you =). So right to the point get this case if you have a PSP 2000 (its only for the PSP 2000 model) you won't regret it and your PSP 2000 will be safe from scratches and cracks.
