The best in Personal Finances 101
I was looking for a book that would truly be a "101" type of explanation of all of the ins and outs of stocks, mutual funds, IRA's, etc. and this book does an excellent job of doing just that.
This book is perfect for those who have always been intimidated by the world of finances and money management but have a desire to understand all of the terminology, pros and cons, and options available to start successfully planning for your future. It's easy to read and understand and will make you say "SO THAT'S WHAT THAT MEANS!!!" over and over again!
Great Guide for a Novice
Great book, well written, but the best part is it's understandability. This book is an excellent reference tool for the "soon to be retired". It will enable you to participate in meetings with financial planners without the fear of being steamrolled or having that deer in a headlights look.
Read, enjoy, and get an education into the world of financial planning...........yee haw!
Money does not buy happiness, but the lack of it surely creates misery
This book is not unique in any way, but it does provide readers important financial education. In schools, students are taught subjects such as English, poetry, math, and history. While these subjects are important, we as a society are poorly educated about our finances.
This books teaches readers basic information about stocks, bonds, real estate, the compounding of interest, credit card debt, and much more. It will not make anyone an expert, but it provides a good introduction that should help people make better financial decisions. Good financial decisions can make one's life a lot easier. At the same time, poor financial decisions can turn one's life upside down.
