Creative
I'm 40. I've just played the game for a couple of hours, but I'm addicted. Maybe it is too early to say, but until now the game is not repetitive at all. You have to use your brain to find solutions, and this is the best way a videogame can work.
On my PSP 2000 load times are not so terrible. It takes a few moments to get from the Barnett college to the adventures, but then there is no interruption while playing.
The only problem I've found is you cannot save the game whenever you want (or at least I haven't found a way). Scenes can take quite a while to complete, but you have to start them all over if you want to switch game while you are in the middle of a scene. Nonetheless, I strongly advise you to get the game. I'm so impressed I've already ordered Lego Star Wars II, and I think I'll get the Batman for my PS3 too.
Kind of a Let Down
I have to be honest, after playing Lego Star Wars (LSW) II (why wasn't LSW I ever released for PSP?), and experiencing the loadtimes of God of War, I'm unimpressed by Lego Indiana Jones (LIJ). The gameplay was pretty good, but I found a couple glitchy spots when playing in Free Play mode, and by the time it got done loading between scenes or from the college to the chosen adventure, I was falling asleep. The characters are great, the storyline is great, but it's hard to stay interested when an hour of gameplay time only amounts to about 40 minutes worth of actual gameplay. It's time to do better. The UMD drive is working overtime on this game, driving down battery life, and some of the maps are way too 2-dimensional. Sometimes it was more like playing an old version of Castlevania! LSW had such great 3-D maps and the environment was very absorbing. LIJ just didn't have the inviting maps and gameplay of LSW.
I guess I'll have to shelve this one, and wait for Star Wars, The Force Unleashed and Lego Batman to be released in September. It's really a shame ... I had such high hopes for this game.
Crystal Skull
I'm over 13 but gave it to grandson who loves it. Picked it up very quickly. Uses it on his PSP. At the moment his favorite game, [he has many].
