The Clown Prince of Crime is at it again! This time it’s biological warfare, with his signature dark touch of humor: the Joker’s goal is to drop laughing gas over Gotham City. Batman, once again, is called on to save the city. His mission is to launch Batwing’s secret missiles at the Joker’s venom-laden helicopter. If they hit the spotlights, the Joker is ejected and his diabolical plans are foiled again…until the next time.

Before all this happens, of course, intrepid young Lego engineers must build the 15-inch Batwing and 9-inch Joker Copter using the 523-piece kit, which includes parts for the flying machines, Batman, Joker, henchmen, and miscellaneous gadgets and weapons. Assembled correctly, the Batwing wings can be raised, missiles can be shot, the helicopter rotors will spin, evil-looking laughing gas canisters will drop, and the dangling ladder will fall. Satisfied with purchase
My 8-year-old son really wanted this specific set for his birthday. Since all Lego Batman sets were out-of-production I had to pay more than the original manufacturer's price. Since I purchased the product in November 2008 the price has risen even higher.

My son was able to build the set by himself and really enjoys playing with it. He likes the the way it launches the missle. I like that it comes with a base so that it an be stored vertically (takes up less shelf space).

This set is awesome but ...
... I found this last year at TJMax for 49$. Some of the prices I'm seeing here for 'out of date' Lego sets are really outrageous. If you do some research online (or at your local 'cheap' stores ie. Ross, TJMax, Marshall's, etc, you can find these 'out of date' sets for really really cheap (as they should be).
