Editorial Reviews
From the Manufacturer
Celebrating its 80th year in the optics industry, Nikon Sports and Recreational Optics division has introduced a modernized version of the very first consumer binocular.
Nikons new 80th Anniversary Porro prism compact binocular looks identical to the uniquely shaped original 6x15 binocular introduced in 1922. The 7x15 Nikon binocular has been updated by the use of Nikons modern lenses, anti-reflective lens coatings and todays high grade structural materials and construction methods. The Nikon 7x15 features tough, allmetal construction, BaK4 prisms and multi-coated lenses to provide the user with bright, sharp clear viewing. The exterior finish is a satin silver and black composite. The binocular measures just 2" high and 5.5" wide, and weighs only 4.9 ounces. The optical system provides an eight degree angle of view along with a 420-foot field of view at 1,000 yards. The 80th Anniversary 7x15 incorporates convenient central focusing and a close distance of only 6.5-feet, allowing detailed observation of nearby objects
