Those who don't understand going out for the Friday night happy hour, imbibing liberally, and then heading out for the 4 a.m. butt-shifter should avoid this mix at all costs. It's an ode to the bridge-and-tunnel clubbers, a tribute to the Gap dancers of our world, a wink at gym-goers nationwide and a general nod to modern K-tel disco lovers. No-brainer floor-thumpers such as Kim English's "Everyday" and Etta James's "Miss You (Illicit Remix Edit)" are groovers and shakers, while Satoshi Tomiie's "Sneaky One (featuring Deanna)" and Mandalay's "Beautiful (Calderone After Hour Mix)" are sweaty 3.30 a.m. grinders. For Kings (and Queens!) everywhere, Second Season is simple, straight-up, disco-house sugar. --Steffan Chirazi

More dance than season one-but still only one disc
Progressing towards what it would eventually be on season 3, volume two segues strictly dance songs together, but it's still only one disc of music like volume 1. Season 3 would break out with an all out club feel on disc 1 with all long versions of club hits-and eventually, the Club Bablyon disc would go with 2 discs worth of it. Great dance tracks here, but track times are too short, and the disc doesn't utilize a full 20 minutes of disc space! It would have been amazing to have longer versions of hard to get diva anthems like Rising, one of the strongest songs on here. Track times:
1. hide U (5:07)
2. Absolutely not (4:46)
3. everyday (4:38)
4. caught up (4:24)
5. Rising (4:23)
6. Sneaky one (4:14)
7. Harder better faster stronger (4:59)
8. Star guitar (5:00)
9. Miss you (5:02)
10. Plenty (5:04)
11. Underwater (4:59)
12. Beautiful (5:07)
"Ridiculously Romantic"
The one song that I'm a more than surprised not to see on the Season One soundtrack was "Save The Last Dance for Me" by The Drifters. The song that really sealed the end of the first season, the most piviotal song of the entire show, when Brian shows how much he cares about Justin. Ugh...that song should have been on there.
Love IT!
I might be a little late in buying this, but I'd have to say this CD is "off the chain" !!!! Love it!!!!
