Customer Reviews

Great for enclosed - recessed fixtures5
My basement has these awful lighting fixtures which are recessed and enclosed by a thick decorative glass which blocks out most of the light of regular bulbs. This bulb turned my dim dungeon into a welcoming living space. Plus it uses a 1/3 less energy than the product I was using the past : love it!

Finally a non fluorescent energy saving bulb.5
Fluorescent lights 'are' more efficient than these but I just do not care for the funny colored light the fluorescent bulbs put out. I screwed one of these 70w Halogena bulbs in next to a standard 100w soft white bulb, in a dual light fixture, and could not tell the difference in brightness, the color was slightly more yellow (it was hard too see the difference). A big plus for me is that these bulbs work with my existing dimmer switches. :) I plan to order more in the near future. Save some energy and keep the ability to dim your lighting, the best of both worlds.

the perfect answer?4
just got a few of these, is really great! i dont really like the light of energy savers (those funny twisty bulbs), way too harsh for my living room. this product looks like regular bulbs but it promises 30% less energy, havent seen my electricity bill yet, but i trust Philips to deliver what the product says it will.
