Inspired by the hit Disney Pixar move, Cars, the Mack Truck Bachelor Pad Play set expresses the racy personality of Lightning McQueen, the leading car in the film. In the movie, McQueen gets waylaid on his way to a big race, and ends up in Radiator Springs. It's a little run down for this flashy hot rod, but the eccentric small-town folk-mobiles teach McQueen all about friends, family and love. Now kids can bring these loveable characters home and recreate their favorite scenes from the movie with this detailed play set. The play set opens to reveal a truck bed pad packed with play features, including a carwash, a video game area, a weighing scale and more, where McQueen crashes after a long day of racing.

Mack Truck
My son loves this toy (he's [...]), it allows McQueen to do many activities inside Mack. It is thin plastic though and seems like it would break easily if it fell or was thrown. As it is, sometimes when he plays it, pieces come off easily-though they pop back on quickly. If you have infants at home, I would steer clear of this toy for that reason. If it were a little sturdier, I would have given it 5 stars.
Play value is worth it
I bought this for my son before the movie came out and a bunch of the characters, too. This truck has some small pieces that could break if the child is not careful. I prefer the other Mack Truck that's available. The one that comes with Doc and Sally. It's preferable because of that fact that there are not a lot of pieces that could get broken, you just tote the cars around inside. I have an almost 3 year old and he breaks things, but it is his toy and if it breaks, it breaks. No real harm done. He loves it. Loves playing with Lightning McQueen inside. Worth it for the play value.
Another reviewer complained that she couldn't find the other little cars at any store. It is very hard to find the characters now. Since the movie release there have been sales at stores and a major rush on the toys. There was a rush on the toys even before the movie came out. Parents and collectors alike, are buying these toys. Ebay is proof that people are willing to shell out the cash for some of the harder ones to find. I believe the characters will be easier to find as time goes on. At least I hope so for my sake. I would like to buy the complete set for my son.
fun for your Cars fan, but ONLY if you already have the cars
As a maniac mom, I bought the complete set of little cars more than 2 months before the movie opened, and thank goodness I did because they are impossible to find now unless you are willing to pay a ridiculous premium. I think that for the price, it is a bit of a rip-off that it doesn't come with a Lightning McQueen, especially since that is the whole appeal of the truck. You also have to read the box carefully to know that there is no McQueen included. I like that the truck comes apart and reattaches to the cab easily, so that my 4-year-old doesn't have to ask me 20 times a day to do it. I do think that some of the features are dramatically overstated (come on, a "game station" ?!?), but the kid really digs it.
