VERY ACTION PACKED. LIKE THE CAST VERY GOOD ACTING. IF YOU LIKE SHIPS AND SAILING YOU WOULD LIKE THIS MOVE.

Excellent Series
I purchased this set after renting the New Adventures of Horatio Hornblower set. I am trying not to finish them too quickly. The set is so well put together in evolving the Horatio Hornblower character. The acting is excellent. Each tale is interesting and really takes you back in time. It is a true escape. This was an amazing value for the quality and quantity of film. If you enjoyed Master and Commander, this will be a great collection for you!

If you want to see how people lived on a British warship during Napoleonic War, this tv series is for you.
If you want to see how people lived on a British warship during Napoleonic war, this tv series is for you. The acting is average. There are a lot of twists. The costumes look authentic. The boats, especially French boats are not shown in details, just briefly. It's the same for the fighting scenes. They're very short. Most of the times, only things on the British sides are depicted not on the French side. The hand-to-hand fighting is left much to be desired. All these exposes the small budget of the movie.

It's a drama but somehow it does not appeal to me. It's still worth renting for curiosity.
