Customer Reviews
Again, Behringer plagiarizes a better design
This design looked familiar to me. I compared it to the other component I was shopping for, and sure enough, it is an exact copy of the Ebtech Swizz-CT Swizz Army 6-in-1 Cable Tester sold by Morley: Ebtech Swizz-CT Swizz Army 6-in-1 Cable Tester
Note how Behringer has carefully copied switch, light, and jack placement- even the silkscreen job is lifted! They copied the interior circuit boards as well, and I can only assume they did it with cheaper parts like in other Behringer products I have foolishly bought in the past which either arrived broken or (more likely) developed failures not long into their lifespan.
If you are using Behringer products in a home studio, you may never have a problem- and good luck to you if you don't mind them stealing from people who spent their own R&D money and time. But for road-worthiness, Behringer's products do not stand the test of time. Behringer is cheaper, but you get what you pay for.
CT100 worth the cost.
Not really much to say. It's really nice to know if your cables are in good shape and this is a good way to test them. I don't use it a lot but have it with me at all gigs.
Just what I needed
I needed a simple solution to a potentially expensive problem. In two minutes, I had the answer to what was wrong with my in-wall cable wiring problem. My cable tester told me exactly what I needed to know immediately, saving me time, money, and aggravation. I am a novice technician, but the cable tester gave me a professional diagnosis.
