Designed for dogs and puppies eight weeks or older and weighing 45 to 88 pounds, this topical flea treatment provides long-lasting, effective control against fleas, ticks, and chewing lice. Its active ingredient fipronil (kills newly acquired adult fleas) has been combined with the trusted insect growth regulator (S)-methoprene, which kills flea eggs, larvae, and prevents pupae development. Effectively targeting all stages of fleas, the fipronil collects in the oils of the skin and hair follicles, and continues to be released from hair follicles onto the skin and coat, resulting in long-lasting activity against fleas and all stages of four major ticks, including the one that may carry Lyme disease. Research demonstrates that a monthly treatment of Frontline Plus kills adult fleas, flea eggs, and flea larvae for up to three months and kills ticks for at least one month. Easy to use, simply apply contents of the applicator through the animal's fur to the skin level between the shoulder blades. Frontline Plus remains effective even after bathing, water immersion, or exposure to sunlight, without the need for re-application. Achieve maximum protection with monthly applications, all year round, but be sure not to apply twice within 30 days. Each packet includes three topical applications for three months of protection.

What I received was as if I bought it at the pet store
I was initially frightful to buy from online but when I received the product I will now continue to save money using this site for my Frontline Plus.

Glad I Bought This Product On Amazon and Not Ebay!
I previously purchased a large container of Frontline Plus from an EBay reseller. Product came in a container that was different than my usual product container. I thought this was due to me getting large container and it was different than small one. I then used a measured amount for my small dog ( children's medicine hypo 0.7 mil). Product did not do the job as my dog began getting fleas in about two weeks. This time I received a large container that was the same as small one only bigger from Amazon (glass flask type) same amount. Product appears to work fine. I can only assume ebay seller was selling old product that was no good (not expired). I now will only purchase this product on Amazon.

Effective but a bit expensive
Our 2 puppies got it this year and, as far as I can tell, they are bug-free so far. I can't say whether this is because of Frontline or because there are no fleas in surroundings but, until evidence to the contrary emerges, I will give Frontline the credit.

The makers claim that Frontline Plus kills all fleas and prevents re-infestation for up to one month. For 'paralysis tick' protection, bi-weekly application is recommended but results are not guaranteed.

The product comes in a number of 'pipettes' that contain an oily-sticky liquid that is applied on the back of the dog's neck's, on the skin (must part the coat until the skin is visible). The makers recommend monthly applications.

I found it easy to treat the dogs. Given the relatively high price of this product, I've been using one pipette for our 2 puppies. As they are now big, this may no longer be an option but I can see how this option could be a money saver for anyone who has 2 'not so large' dogs.

I am taking one star away because of the ridiculously high price.
