Adorable and Well Designed
I bought these molds on a whim. They were cute and I wanted to make some ice cream sandwiches. I bought two sets, but when I got them and read the instructions, I was a bit worried that I really didn't need both of them.

My wife and I split up the work. I made ice cream a couple days in advance. Then she made a sheet of cookie. While the cookie sheet was cooling, I used the molds to cut out the cookie shapes (2 per sandwich) and imprint the little animal faces. Once the cookies were cool and the we had softened up the ice cream in the refrigerator, she placed a cookie at the bottom of each of the assembled molds (suddenly we were happy to have extras). I filled them with ice cream, placed a second cookie on top and then used the top to gently squeeze each sandwich until the ice cream filled out to the edges of the mold (the molds are translucent, so it's easy to see when you've squeezed enough). Then I popped the sandwich out the bottom and she wrapped them in cellophane. Repeat until done.

Now we have a freezer full of adorable little ice cream sandwiches that we can't wait to eat! I can't recommend these molds enough. I had been worried that our first attempt would be marred by mistakes and unseen difficulties, but we followed the instructions and they worked perfectly!

Fun for kids!
I do love these molds! I use them to mold hard boiled eggs for school lunches. They are fun and the kids enjoy eating something that is good for them.
They are a little on the pricey side for something that has only three pieces to it. However, it is something I will use often. I also used them to make ice cream sandwiches for the kid and those were also a big hit. I used root beer float ice cream and vanilla wafer cookies crunched up. Ummmm. Again a little work for only three sandwiches so you might want more than one set, but for an occasional treat, they are great. The designs show up better on the eggs then on the ice cream sandwiches but no one complained about that.

Perfect for Bento!
I bought these for our ever expanding collection of food shapers for Bento. They are easy to use with hardboiled eggs and turn out sooo cute! I hard boiled the eggs, cool them just enough to be able to shell them and pop the warm egg in the mold. Press down the plunger part and secure with several rubber bands for a tight fit. once completely cooled, they are adorable and so much more fun than "regular" hard boiled eggs. You can dye the eggs--the pig is cute in pink--with standard food colors. Be sure to use the biggest eggs you can find to fill up the nooks and crannies in the mold.
