![]() | Band on the Run by Paul McCartney & Wings
Buy new: $13.99 / Used from: $8.74 Paul's best album of his solo career also sounds the most like a Beatles' album from his, or any of John's or George's, solo career. Coincidence? I think not.

![]() | Ram by Paul & Linda McCartney
Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $6.98 This is a criminally-overlooked album. From the Beach Boys' inspired "Dear Boy" to the flat-out singing of "Monkberry Moon Delight", this album gets better with age.

![]() | Chaos and Creation in the Backyard by Paul McCartney
Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $0.69 Just when you think he's out, he comes back with a great album. If this had been made in the 70's it would be mentioned in the same breath with "Band on the Run." Let's hope this is a sign of more good things to come.

![]() | London Town by Paul McCartney
Buy new: $15.99 / Used from: $4.90 There is some filler here, but there are also some great songs. There are few who can write a melody like Paul, and this album has some great, haunting stuff like "I'm Carrying, Girlfriend, Children Children, and London Town."
|
![]() | Flaming Pie by Paul McCartney
Buy new: $16.98 / Used from: $0.74 There are a few clunkers, but the rest of the album has some of Paul's best melodies.
|
![]() | At The Speed Of Sound by Paul McCartney
Buy new: $19.99 / Used from: $6.00 This one gets snubbed, but there is some great, and some good, pop music here. It's just that the most famous song here, "Silly Love Songs", is not one of Paul's highlights.
|
![]() | Red Rose Speedway by Paul McCartney
Buy new: $17.99 / Used from: $6.48 Again, some very good stuff here. Some of the songs sound half-finished.
|
![]() | Flowers in the Dirt by Paul McCartney
Buy new: $16.98 / Used from: $2.05 Paul's comeback from the 90's. Some of the songs are a bit hard to get into, but there are some really good songs. This is the type of album that could be better with better song selection.
|
![]() | Run Devil Run by Paul McCartney
Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $2.89 Paul rocks out as if he were still in his 20's. Paul has a great voice for rock and roll, and he shows it off to great effect here.
|
![]() | McCartney by Paul McCartney
Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $5.76 Paul's debut is a mixed-bag. This album may be the quintessential Paul solo album; there are some great songs and some songs that feel as if they were half-baked.
|
![]() | Venus and Mars by Paul McCartney
Buy new: $15.99 / Used from: $4.40 The first ten minutes of side one and "Listen To What the Man Said" are brilliant, but there's little else to recommend this.
|
![]() | Tug of War by Paul McCartney
Buy new: $11.98 / Used from: $6.84 Perhaps over-rated at the time of its release, Paul put forth a good effort with the help of Ringo and George Martin.
|
![]() | Driving Rain by Paul McCartney
Buy new: $18.98 / Used from: $0.71 Not a bad effort, but it sounds like recycled stuff in parts.
