Caldecott Medal Books
Established in 1938, the Randolph Caldecott Medal is awarded annually for the most distinguished children's picture book published in America the previous year. The prize is primarily for illustrations, though text and story are taken into account. The award is administered by the Association for Library Service to Children, a division of the American Library Association.
