About the Author
Ray Sherwin is known in occult circles as the author of The Book of Results and The Theatre of Magic and one of the first popularly acknowledged Chaos magicians. He created the Illuminates of Thanateros along with Peter Carroll in the late 1970s.

Still well worth a read
So, this book has been around since 1978. And the main thing it teaches was created many years previously by Austin Spare. Thing is, when it first came out, Spare's works were virtually impossible to find.
It provides a good introduction to the simple art of sigilisation - still. If that's what you want to know about - why not give it a go?

AOS came up with a sigil-magick system waaaay before 1978.
seek out the various websites offering information, heck check out the Yahoo! group by the name of Austin Osman Spare's Zos Kia Cultus.

This book is supposed to be about sigils, and yet I walked away from it without any idea how to create one.
