Album Description
At Prince Charming's Palace of the Senses, Paradise is varied according to the day of the week:
On Mondays, Paradise is Prince Charming's Palace of Sight, where the dancers are covered with flakes of silver, gold and platinum and the dust of emeralds, sapphire and other precious stones. In the evening, under the light of stars, and the reflected moon on the lake, Prince Charming is known to weep with Passion. Alas, Prince Charming is not allowed to touch his dancers in Monday's Heaven.
On Tuesdays, Paradise is Prince Charming's Palace of Sound. No light is permitted in the Palace, but the darkness is filled with soft sighing, and the sound of bows being drawn across the naked flesh of Maidens. In Tuesday's Heaven, Prince Charming is hung upside down by his feet from a long silken ribbon. He can feel the sound waves strike him and he swings back and forth almost imperceptibly in the darkness.
On Wednesdays, Paradise is Prince Charming's Palace of Scent. Prince Charming is not entirely certain what lies beyond those doors, for he is struck insensible the moment he crosses the threshold. All he can say for certain is that it is not very pleasant.
On Thursdays, Paradise is Prince Charming's Palace of Touch. Long feathers of the bird of Paradise cover the walls of this dimly lit palace, and the carpeting is deep and soft. Inside, maidens with all 28 qualities of flesh, from silken smooth to coarse as bark, wander about utterly nude. [...]
On Fridays, Heaven is Prince Charming's Palace of Taste. Here, Prince Charming breaks his six-day-long fast with some of the most rare and delightful delicacies known to man. Servants carry diamond decanters filled with molten lead, and bowls of rubies and gold ingots are beside every throw pillow. There are no tables in the Palace, all food being laid out upon the persons of his esteemed and lovely dancers. Again, due to unionization, he is not permitted to use his hands while eating, and can only eat such food as he can acquire by means of feet, mouth etc... The revelry lasts from sun-up till sundown Friday evening, at which point Prince Charming takes a powerful sleeping draught that he may not be forced to endure the common and vulgar weekend where leisure is shared with the rest of the populace.
From the Artist
Dearest Audience, I want you I want you I want you. Prince Charming is back on his medication and feeling miserable about his lapse in correspondance with his loyal comrades. I want to tell you that I love you you. As "The Premiere Warlord of the Barbarian Hordes," Prince Charming suffers from a tremendous amount of work related stress; blackouts; out of body experiences, grand mal levitation. I do not sleep do not sleep do not sleep that I sleep I sleep I sleep. I want to tell you that I am asleep but I am not asleep. I wish you not harm I wish you no harm. I love your native country. Prince Charming would like you to interpret this CD/telepathic death threat as a cry for help. And he humbly requests your assistance in crushing the Earth people with love peace and unity. Please use your secret network of Earthling assasins to strike without warning. Warmest regards, Prince Charming
About the Artist
PRINCE CHARMING, who has collaborated with Brooklyn's Wordsound Posse, the infamous L.A. Shapeshifters, the Gothic Supergroup EXP, and a variety of Detroit Punk and Hardcore acts, graduated from the NYU Tisch film school. His own work is a synthesis of all these various projects injected with his own brand of eroto-sensual groove technology.

Phreaky Fresh...
When I first got this CD, I wasn't quite sure what to make of it. The first few tracks are very upbeat, sort of basement jaxx style breakbeat/bigbeat--which is a real departure from the earlier Prince Charming stuff. But when you keep going past the upbeat stuff (which is crazy but good) you remember why they call this guy the Dub Maestro. Phat beats, dark atmospheres, deep grooves. The whole thing plays like some decent into candy raver hell. Definitely worth spending the time getting into it.
very limited edition European tour release
Any copies of this CD priced below $100 bucks are bootlegs. I cannot gaurantee the quality of bootleg recordings. There are no copies of this CD available. Collectors and completists should know that this CD contains out-takes from Psychotropical Heatwave and Fantastic Voyage, and rare live radio performances.
Ooops he did it again...
I am still troubled by this CD. I bought it after catching a track on the John Peel show, and it has hardly left my CD player since. I am afraid that, lurking somewhere behind the shimmering pop and catchy melodies, there is something very dark and evil in this man's music. I do not trust this "Prince Charming." I do not think he is a good person. Funky, clever, even sexy, but terribly terribly twisted and evil. You have been warned....
