Product Description

Unless you've been hiding for the past few decades, you're sure to recognize this classic from Mag Instrument. The solid dependability of Mag flashlights is hard to top, which explains why the brand is so popular with police officers, security guards, and other people who can't afford to be left in the dark. This three-D-cell model is great for home use and an essential part of any home emergency kit. It shines as bright as anyone could ask for, and a simple twist of the head changes the beam from a spot to a luminous floodlight. Having a Mag flashlight on hand can keep an inconvenience, like a November blackout, from becoming a small disaster. It is also a great light for illuminating the woods and keeping the bears at bay on summer camping trips. The weighty feel of a Mag flashlight also offers a sense of security in the dark that other flashlights just don't have, enough to give you the confidence to confront any basement bogeyman or mountain monster.

From the Manufacturer
This purple flashlight comes with a high intensity krypton gas lamp for optimum brilliance and extended range. Plus, with a twist of the flashlight head, you can change the beam from spot to flood, positioning the light where you need it most. It's anodized inside and out for improved corrosion resistance and durability, with a self-cleaning switch that virtually eliminates oxidation. The high grade O-rings at each opening ensure resistance to water and shock while the low resistance circuitry allows a more efficient use of the batteries. The diamond-knurled grip is comfortable to hold, and there's a spare bulb in the tail cap to keep you out of the shadows. Manufactured in the United States, this flashlight is serially numbered for identification purposes. It requires 3 D-cell batteries, not included. Bright light. Bright purchase.

This is the Flashlight you need5
I have three of these flashlights and they are fantastic. I keep one in the garage (see accessory section for mounting bracket), one on the fireplace mantle, and one in my car. They all work perfectly, project a bright, adjustable beam, and feel great in your hand. Not only does it work in normal conditions, but the gaskets and buttons do a great job keeping water out - I live in the Pacific Northwest and use it in the rain frequently with no problems.

This is the same model that many of our local law enforcement types use day-in / day-out. I'd image that may a miscreant has received a "bop" on the head with one of these babies and will think twice before resuming their layabout ways.

Get one of these with three fresh Duracell's and you're set. This flashlight will last you a lifetime!

THE BEST FLASHLIGHT OUT THERE!5
In my opinion...this thing is the best. Is sturdy, heavy duty, can shine FOREVER down the dark forest path. It's rugged so you don't have to worry about it if it's bouncing around in a tool-box or dropping off the counter and hitting the kitchen floor.

I know people that have owned these for years. There is a reason why you get what you pay for, and a reason why you get your monies worth with these. They are good, solid, dependable, rugged flashlights that hold up to life's everyday uses. And as mentioned before, they shine very bright and far, not dim to a pinpoint like some big flashlights out there. I highly recommend it for yourself or for a gift for someone who could use it! Have one in your car, house, garage, shed, trailer, and travel kit. They come in handy, and for certain situations like being broke down, searching for something, or a power outage in your area, you want the best available!

Another Mag Lite I used to Love3
The Mag Instrument S3D016 Black Heavy Duty 3 D-Cell Flashlight was another of my past favorites that got a lot of use. Now a days, there is a lot going on with the technology of flashlights. LED, Lithium batteries, focus bezels, etc. The Maglight brand has fallen behind a bit technologically, but is still a great flashlight for minor emergencies NOT involving looking for criminals, terrorists or signalling for a chopper pick up. The Mag Instrument S3D016 Black Heavy Duty 3 D-Cell Flashlight is perfect for a tool box but a bit too big for a deep pocket. The product is very durable and they are proven reliable. Don't get me wrong. I've depended on Mag lites of all sizes for years. But head to head , the Surefire brands have quickly surpassed Mag lite in every important aspect of flashlights - usable light power, size, durability and weight. The Mag light brand just isn't keeping up with the new technology. And that's too bad for us who value product loyalty.
The Mag Instrument S3D016 Black Heavy Duty 3 D-Cell Flashlight is STILL a good value and I have several in the house and the vehicles. But they're being replaced by Surefires as they wear out.
