A Child-Friendly Design
The ClickStart features a child-friendly wireless keyboard, plug and play console, and a child-sized mouse with a right- or-left-handed adjustable mouse pad. It transforms the TV into a PC, which allows kids to work on a big screen and the whole family to join in on the fun. The miniature mouse is perfectly formed for little fingers to point and click. Large, colored buttons make it easy for kids to learn basic keystrokes, and four friendly games create a safe, age-appropriate environment to navigate. ClickStart is built to withstand rough toddler handling, a plus for parents who want to spare their high-end desktops from child's play. And the wireless keyboard is light and convenient to transport from place to place, so kids can bring the fun with them wherever they go.

Friendly puppy Scout guides kids through keyboard functions and allows them to work at their own pace. Techno tots can click on a faux in-box to receive their first e-mail; it even has sound for nonreaders. Should the youngster ever become stumped, a hint button gives them a clue. Well designed toy3
I must say that the toy is designed very well with tiny users in mind. The keyboard and mouse are very functional. Wireless design is really a plus, no messy cable lying on the floor. The whole thing is light enough. The included games are all right, they can keep my 3 yr old interested for about 15 minutes.

The mouse cable could be improved so that the mouse would be more stable on the pad with the cable side up. It often turns around causing problem for not-so-experienced users. The real issue is the availability of games. Right now there is choice but not a lot. I hope Leapfrog opens up game development so that independent parties can develop educational and fun games.

Just CHANGE the batteries!!!4
We experienced all the same issues as those unfavorable reviewers and ALL our issues were eliminated when we CHANGED THE BATTERIES!!

I admit, I have never encountered another electronic toy that responds to low battery power like this. I absolutely thought the toy was defective but, as it turned out, new batteries were all it needed.

Fun and educational preschool computer!5
I got this as a gift for my 4-year old son's birthday and he LOVES it. I've read other reviews complaining about the graphics which I think is silly. Of course the graphics look like the old Nintento--look at the console it's very similar. You want high quality graphics drop $300 bucks and get yourself a PS3. You want a gaming system that your kid will love and learn from buy the click start.

I like that my son can operate the click start on his own and is learning and having a ball. Also, the system itself is very portable--the mouse clicks into the keyboard and the console is small and lightweight.

Do be sure to buy yourself a wall adapter or pick up 4 C battaries for the console. You'll also need 4 AA battaries for the keyboard which, despite what Amazon says, are not included.

I compared the click start to the v smile too and it blows it away--the click start is more fun, more educational and is adorable. I also think it's great that my son is using a keyboard and a mouse, building computer skills that he will be using as he gets older.
