Not your average stuffy sex manual!5
What a great book! So much information in such a small amount of space. I dare anyone to read it and not learn something -- and in the process, enjoy the humor. The author has such a way with words that she is able to impart a great deal of knowledge without sounding "preachy" while injecting humor to this sometimes mystifying subject, this male/female relationship thing! And the "crib notes" for the men are presented in a non-threatening and light hearted manner. A definite "must read" for women and men as they work toward improving their intimate relationships.

User friendly5
Finally, a simple, frank, fun and easy book to read about men, women and sex. This is not some dry textbook with lots of technical terms. It's a great book to curl up with and learn the things your Momma never told you. Mary Jo's simple explanations make the reader feel they're sharing real life stories with their best friend over a cup of tea (or a glass of wine). My husband kept stealing the book when I wasn't looking. He, too, commented on the personable writing style. He said it didn't read like a lecture, but a letter from a friend.

Fun, informal and informative5
Mary Jo Fay's "Please Dear, Not Tonight" is an entertaining and factual read on a subject near and dear to all of our hearts, SEX. But beyond bump and grind, it's a valuable guide for the day to day workings of a physical and emotional relationship. Very much a worthwhile addition to your home library.

One of "Please Dear's" best features is an easy and approachable style...along with the feeling that it's a little more on the edge than things are USUALLY around your hacienda. I had the same feeling, as I read "Please Dear", that I'd had thirty-five years ago reading "The Sensuous Woman/Man". The excitement of learning something new was there, and that's a powerful plus in a sex title. Mary Jo is a familial, informed and fun-loving guide for the ins and outs (pun definitely intended) of sex.

I highly recommend reading it...and sharing it with that special someone.
