| The electric period of Miles was one of the first area that really drew me more into jazz, especially I realized that so many of the jazz-rock artists I liked were alumni from albums of Miles. Mahavishnu, Weather Report, Return to Forever are just a few that come to mind that owe some of their legacy to the doors Miles opened. I'm especially fond of the deep but minimalist but gnarly funk grooves of On the Corner, and his mid 70's band that laid down such incredible works as the Aghartha and Pangaea albums, both taken from concerts on the same day! | ||
