Customer Reviews

Great stroller! Read review!!5
I previously owned a chicco stroller. Hated it b/c my feet kept hitting the back wheels and I'm only 5'5". That was my main problem causing me to switch, but after using the Maclaren I realized so many other things that are far superior to my previous stroller.

1. Both my husband (5'10") and I can comfortably use it without hitting our feet.
2. You can easily maneuver it with one hand (I couldn't in my old stroller- I'd have to hip-check it to get it where I wanted). I have a preschooler and in parking lots, for example I require him to hold my hand so I can only steer with one hand. Not a problem at all with the Maclaren.
3. Extremely easy to open and close and with one hand as well.
4. Basket underneath is far larger than my previous one. I read a review (not sure if it's for this stroller or somewhere else) saying a "con" of the umbrella stroller is lack of shopping bag space and I don't really see that as a con. An umbrella stroller is what it is- it's not a travel system. No I can't carry as much as I could when my child was in an infant travel system but there are many other positives that you are getting instead- namely bulkiness and weight.
5. It comes with a rain protector. And sun shield is useful or easy to raise up if not needed.
6. Handles are comfortable.
7. 5 point harness is great- the middle connector where the harness connects- you have to push from the front and back (of the connector piece) at the same time to release the harness which is a great safety feature. That way, my child can't just push the front "button" and release herself.
8. Superficially- I love the color choice.

Hope this helps.

Tall Daddy now a Strolling Maniac! (Kid likes it too)5
Having punished a $30 umbrella stroller offroad and in places where the sidewalks looked offroad, and a $60 travel stroller that was put back together with athletic tape after doing time in the airplane hold and then did about fifteen more miles on city streets, I was skeptical about the advantage of a $100+ "umbrella" "travel" stroller. Well I LOVE IT. a) it has a basket of reasonable size b) it handles with the kind of precision and ease I will never be able to afford in a car c) the kid likes it d) the buckle takes adult attention (could be a con except that it is a pro since it defeats Little Houdini) e ) it is super lightweight and has a carrying strap for when the kid wants out of it and f) best of all TALL DADDY CAN USE IT without hunching over or munching his feet. In fact they took off _running_ as soon as Daddy figured this out. She laughed and laughed. If I can put up a photo I will but no we are not suffocating her: she likes the rain cover that comes with it. Very well designed. Now if I can figure out how to put a lock on it so no one cobs my very sweet stroller when its parked...

Perfect for what it is5
We are on our third Volo. (The first was misrouted by an airline gate agent, and the second I backed over -- while it was empty! -- with my car.) We keep buying them because they are ideal travel strollers: super, super light, no bells and whistles, and easy to collapse and reassemble. While holding my two-year-old, I can use my one free hand to grab the stroller, hoist it out of the trunk, and unfold and lock it. Ditto for the reverse process. While this admittedly took some practice, the fact that it is possible at all is a huge convenience.

Our latest Volo shows some slight tweaks and improvements over the older models: the best of these is a stroller buckle that now requires a pinch on BOTH sides to unfasten. This is a feature that has arrived just in time to thwart my budding Houdini.
