Great Hard Bop Album!!!!
A hard bop fan, might just think of this cd as just another plain old hard bop album. But if you're a Chuck Mangione fan, you'll get a kick out of this, and see just how well a hard bop trumpeter, Mangione was, before he went electric and contemporary. Perhaps the best track here is the title, Recruedo. With Louis Hayes' mallets on the toms and his solo, this is a sure fire song. Another highlight is Blues For Sandaar. That song was always my favorite as a kid!
