Active manuka honey 100%, 60 gr/2.12 oz net. Contains only active Australian Manuka (Jellybush) Honey ULF 20+. Jellybush belongs to the Leptospermum group of plants, which is widely distributed in Australia and occupies a variety of habitats from coastal dunes to high mountain areas. Tyagarah Apiaries, the source of this product, collects the strongest and most potent Jellybush Honey which comes from Leptospermum trees found growing in the pristine sub tropical coastal forests surrounding Byron Bay on the East Coast of Australia. This honey is tested for activity in certified New Zealand laboratories before packaging (results available upon request). This product offers strong anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties in a topical form for the management of minor burns, cuts and scrapes. Other products containing manuka honey have been approved by the FDA for the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers and antibiotic-resistant wound infections (MRSA). Product is sterile and more effective than manuka honey creams because it contains only active Australian manuka honey. Research conducted at the University of Wales by Rose Cooper and Leighton Jenkins has shown that sterility is important in wound healing honeys because regular honeys contain microbial spores that may germinate under certain conditions. Manufactured according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and approved by the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (approval code AUSTL 158248). To clients that have bought the Comvita 18+ product from us before: Comvita no longer manufactures the product, and has released a replacement that is smaller, more expensive, and made with honey that is not rated for activity. After extensive research into possible alternatives, we have settled on this product which is excellent, approved by the Australian TGA, and more active than the old Comvita product. excellent service
It is refreshing to have an effective, non toxic remedy for wound care. The product arrived in three days and I have begun using it on my dog's infected wound. This is a good product to have in your first aid kit.

Worth the purchase
The product worked great. In a little less than one month the MRSA infection was healed. I would recommend this product if conventional drugs are ineffective or you would like to become more holistic. The only drawback with this product is the need for multiple applications daily for the defeat of the infection. That part wasn't a problem just a nuisance. Overall the product is great and I will buy again in the future if needed.

Diabetic Leg Ulcers
I am using this product to help heal small leg ulcers cause by my diabetis. So far, it seems to be working better than other products that I have tried such as bacitracin. I also use it for minor scrapes. Great Product.
