Inspires me to change
To be honest, I first imagined that this book would be like just another self-help book when we need today are books about how we can show God's love to the world. However, upon making my way through this book, my initial response just proved the old adage that you can't judge a book by its cover (or in my case, by its title!).

As I began reading, I realised how much I wanted to be a person of faith and not fear. By taking the reader through many of the most common fears that a believer faces, the message that Lucado constantly reiterates is that you are special, and we can be people of courage.

Lucado displays a profound knowledge of the subject and provides real-life stories to illustrate his points. More importantly however, he provides examples from the life of Jesus to show that we truly need not fear as we travel on the journey with Him. Following the main text with a Discussion Guide that is useful for both individuals and groups, this is a book that has the potential to change the lives of many.

doesn't cover all the chapters
This guide only covers chapters 1-6. If you are going to do a churchwide bible study like we did and order this discussion book to accompany the hardbound Fearless books you are better off using the discussion questions at the back of the book. We are sending our two guides back to amazon for a refund and are just glad we aren't paying postage to return more. But that is thanking a smart church secretary (me) and previewing!
