As a Mah jongg instructor, I try to read everything I can about the game in order to help my students learn more easily. After reading this book, all I can say is if you are interested in learning to play Mah Jongg buy this book!! It will help you. It is clearly written, beautifully illustrated, and understandable by the most beginner of beginners. It will also help you later as you improve your game. Very Important, about P. Radcliffe's "don't buy" review
Due to a printing error, a few copies of this book had some color problems of the kind that P. Radcliffe mentions. The good news is, if your copy is problematic, you may return it to the publisher for an exchange. There's no reason to miss out on this book--it really makes the game fun, even for a true beginner like me!
