Fun set if you don't loose pieces! Too spendy for just one 'build'
We are a family of Knex fans so this set was a natural addition. It was a blast to put together & it runs nicely. We also bought the dropnswing set that goes with it but one of the little pieces broke & we lost another & so that set is useless.

Pros: Fun build, excellent instructions, neat design

Cons: Loose a piece you are up a creek, a lot of the pieces aren't standard size (easy to loose!), Expensive for a single creation when you can get a bucket of Knex & a multiple design book for the same price!

We paid half price for ours so I am not terribly disappointed but the regular price is ridiculous. Get it on sale or don't bother with these sets.

Wonderful toy for a child to construct
The Ferris Wheel is an very nice toy for your child to construct, alone or with a little bit of your assistance. It is educational in the perspective that your child understands how to follow directions on his or her own and construct what appears to be a quite complicated moving display.

The durability is average for a toy of this genre. Caution should be made in houses where there are very young siblings since there is a danger of swallowing these pieces.

The company must have some excellent quality control to put the exact number of pieces in the box. Just one piece missing keeps the structure unstable and missing a wheel could be the difference between functioning and not. I would recommend that the company include some additional pieces.

The electrical component that powers the structure is somewhat easy to operate. The replacement of the battery is somewhat precarious given the screw operated battery compartment and the angle it sits in the structure.

Construction time is about 45 minutes to an hour and a half.

This toy is worthy of consideration.

Construction set.
I bought this toy for my 7 year old daughter and she loved putting it together. It was to hard for her to do by herself but with help from her dad she was able to do it. She loved seeing it operate after it was all together. The toy is well worth its price if someone is willing to help through the whole building process.
