Customer Reviews

Good solid investment4
I use this pump everyday at home and at work. It works very well and is quiet. It is also very easy to clean. For the money, it's a much better deal than some of the other pumps out there that are more expensive and harder to clean. So what if it doesn't come with it's own fancy carrying bag? Just be careful if you have pets, my cat seems to think that the silicone tubing and diaphrams are delicious! Luckily, it was still under warrenty and Lansinoh replaced the parts he ate for free.

Great pump for first time mom4
good pump, for first time moms. easy to use. handy battery operation lets you go anywhere...pump in the passenger seat, while camping, etc...

Wish I'd Spent More3
I bought this pump before I had my baby. In the hospital I used a Medela Symphony which really helped because it was an excellent pump and helped me provide my son with colostrum and breastmilk while he was in the NICU. Coming home from the hospital after using a Symphony for a week and switching to my Lansinoh was not a difficult transition, but now after using the Lansinoh for a few months I really wished I'd splurged and bought a Medela pump. The Lansinoh causes a little more pain during pumping (yes, you can adjust the speed and suction to your liking, but even with the speed at it's highest setting, it seems slow to me. Also, I've found that I need the suction at about 1/2 of it's setting to pump milk, however that setting also makes it a little uncomfortable/harsh). I'm actually considering buying another breastpump (Medela) after having used both brands now, and I'm regretting that I did not just go for it before.
The pros of the Lansinoh that I've found: It can use AA batteries making it portable (in the car if needed!), it is lightweight and easy to throw in a bag and take with you, it was cheaper than the Medela pump in style.
The cons: I'm more uncomfortable pumping with it compared to the Medela I used in the hospital (sore nipples when you pump 2-3 times a day! In the hospital I was pumping much more than that and no soreness), it is cumbersome to set up every time---take it out, hook up the adapter, make sure it is on an even surface, then repeat when you put it all away; the marks on the collection bottles are washing off every time I do dishes (hard to read where 1 oz and 2 oz are anymore!), speed-does not go very fast at highest setting.
