There are better editions of this great book.
Think and Grow Rich is one of the best books ever written on the subject of personal development. Unfortunately, the copy of this edition I received was riddled with errors and typos. I'm not sure what happened, but you will want to avoid the Filiquarian edition of the book until they resolve things.

The Classic they all copy
This is the original classic personal-growth and wealth-building book that all the self-help "Guru"s have been copying and imitating. Buy this and learn from the original. Buy this and learn the classic techniques the new-age thinking was built on, and that the "New-Wage" hucksters imitate without crediting it.

One of the best books on getting ahead
This is one of the first and best books on getting rich. The advice it has is solid. You need to really think about every word it says and understand it on a deep level, not just read it once superficially and forget most of it. I think it's also important to read other similar books to deepen, dimensionalize, and solidify your understanding of the process. So I also recommend "Secrets of the Millionaire Mind" by Harv Eker. I recommend reading and listening to EVERYTHING by Brian Tracy, the greatest all-around success advisor. I recommend getting the e-tapping materials from Brad Yates, which will help greatly to free you from subconscious limitations. Lastly I recommend reading Psycho-Cybernetics and Six Pillars of Self Esteem. After you've gone through all these materials, it's up to you to find the business or idea or whatever that will be the means for you to become rich. Also, you will need to come back to these materials every so often to refresh your positive thinking, because otherwise, the negative/loser thinking will gradually creep back in and take over your mind again. There are so many people out there who will fill your head with negative thinking because they are so toxic and abusive. You need to use these materials I recommended to fill your head with so much positive, helpful, encouraging, useful advice that you don't even have time to think of any negative garbage.

I think the first thing you need is a BURNING DESIRE to make a lot of money! And I really mean a very INTENSE desire. You have to really want it bad. You have to be obsessed 24/7 with making lots of money! First you have to get that desire and then you have to maintain it. If you start losing it, you have to get it back. Because if you become complacent and slack off, your progress towards becoming rich will be suspended and probably destroyed. Then you'll have to start all over again at some point.

This book is far better than "The Secret" by Rhonda Bryne. "The Secret" doesn't even have 1% of the good advice that "Think and Grow Rich" does.
