About the Author

Good Things Come From God to You

You can receive miracles, and you can have authority over sickness and disease. Know this once and for all: all bad things that come to visit you are from the devil—all bad things! They come from hell—not from heaven.

The Bible says all good things come down from the Father of lights to you.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. James 1:17

That means God sends good and perfect gifts from heaven down to you. Not one heartache has ever come from God. Not one weak day or one defeated moment has ever come to you from heaven. God knows no defeat or sickness. Heaven knows no pain.

I’ve been to heaven twice, and I can hardly wait to get there for the last time and forever. The air is full of peace. There is no sickness in heaven. There are no worms in the apples in heaven. The grass is about ten times greener there than it is on earth. You think you’ve got beautiful flowers here? I’ve got news for you—in heaven, those beautiful flowers never die. There are no seasons in heaven—no dying, shivering, or suffering. There is only life.

It's not Hocus Pocus!
I've read and heard many many different teachings/preachings for and against the use of faith and the expection to believe in a specific result, however this book is a refreshing and straight forward display of truth and truth explained.
I have personally been involved with several different episodes where people were praying and speaking the Word of God, and they didn't receive what they were praying for. I have also personally experienced great manifestations (both instantaneous and gradual) of the healing/delivering power of God. This leads some to take a stance that God is arbitrary, and "Faith teachers" are promoting demi-god theology, etc., etc. The problem with taking this stand is that you would have to dub Paul, James, David, John, Abraham... oh and JESUS a heretic for they're bold and unflinching messages of tenacious trust in the promises of God.
Norvel Hayes, in "HOW TO LIVE AND NOT DIE", does a masterful job of teaching from the Bible why God's Word is everything, and how God has invested everything in His Word. I was greatly helped in understanding why I received sometimes, but how I would sometimes simply stop meditating on what God said, and listen to other people, and therefore not receive what I had originally confessed.
Hayes reveals testimony after testimony of the goodness and power of God in action. There is even an example of a man who was about to die, but his wife wouldn't quit reading and proclaiming the scriptures over him continually. At that moment his condition began to change, and because of her peseverance in action on the truth, he did live!
A must read for the one willing to Hope.
