Product Description

As we enter the 21st century, the nature of healthcare is shifting dramatically.  Many scientists and leading-edge thinkers now believe that human beings are more than biological machines with parts that age and wear down, only to be treated by drug therapy and surgery. A number of pioneering researchers embrace a new view of healing called vibrational medicine that combines the best of ancient healing love with a modern view of the body as an energy machine affected by many alternative techniques and treatments.

Dr. Richard Gerber is a traditionally trained western physician who is also one of the leading researchers and practitioners of vibrational medicine.  In his new book, designed for lay readers, he takes us on a comprehensive journey to the new frontier of medicine where he presents the body as a complex, integrated life-energy system that houses our soul and all its creative expressions explores the role of consciousness and "thought-forms" in health and illnessdescribes the benefits of the main vibrational healing modalities, including homeopathy, acupuncture, Chinese medicine, flower essences, color and light healing, magnetobiology, radionics and distant healing, and varieties of hands-on healing.

Dr. Gerber combines the latest scientific evidence with case studies of real patients who have benefited in specific ways from vibrational remedies, and where vibrational approaches exceed the results of traditional western techniques.  He rounds out his book with a resource section of recommended reading, providing  additional names and addresses of associations and individuals working on the vibrational frontier.

In this ground-breaking self-help work, Dr. Gerber writes, "In the world of vibrational medicine, illness is thought to be caused not only by germs, chemical toxins and physical trauma but also by chronic dysfunctional emotional-energy patterns and unhealthy ways of relating to ourselves and other people.  Rather than relying on drugs and scalpels to treat illnesses, the vibrational approach employs different forms of energy to bring about healing changes in the mind, body, and spirit of the sick."

Wonderful! A must-read book!5
"In the world of vibrational medicine, illness is thought to be caused by not only germs, chemical toxins, and physical trauma but also by chronic dysfunctional emotional-energy patterns and unhealthy ways of relating to ourselves and to other people" writes physician, metaphysician, scientist and seeker Richard Gerber.

In his insightful new book, Vibrational Medicine for the 21st Century, Dr. Gerber succinctly and effectively explains to the lay person various ways in which humans are really more than merely biomachines. He describes the integral relationship between our minds and bodies and how, when the level of balance of our emotional-energy is disturbed, physical changes and weaknesses that contribute to disease, can occur.

This companion book to Vibrational Medicine, Third Edition, speaks to you and I in language we can understand. We learn what vibrational medicine is and how it is becoming recognized by modern medical doctors as a path to health and wellness.

Vibrational Medicine for the 21st Century is complete...this reviewer found discussions about chakras, homeopathy, acupuncture, flower essence and color and light healing, magnetobiology, radionic and hands-on techniques. Further, this information is presented by a passionate physician who is also a truth-seeker unbridled by scientific ethnocentrism.

Vibrational Medicine for the 21st Century is a bright light that illuminates the path to a new (though sometimes ancient) frontier of medicine. Dr. Gerber offers scientific evidence from case studies that prove the efficacy of combining modern medicine with alternative medical treatments. In this reviewer's opinion, this book is a valuable tool to understanding a better and cutting edge means to achieve better health and wellness!

Excellent!5
This book is a great, well presented presentation of "energy" medicine. Lots of people are interested in this right now as much investigation and research studies have followed all the interest in it. Richard Gerber writes a very readable book for the lay person. There's not a lot of information out there right now and this is a really good beginning. Keep an open mind with some of this information as it may seem a bit out there, it's only our cultural biases.

Very informative, but marred by some silliness4
There are two ways to look at reality (and they are mutually exclusive): matter creates life, consciousness and self-consciousness, or consciousness and life create matter. The first is philosophical materialism, the second is idealism. Transferred to medicine, they are mechanists and vitalists. Modern day medicine is materialist/mechanist (and because of this false premise the medical establishment had to admit in July of 2000 that doctors are the third-leading cause of death in the U.S. Personally I think it's worse than that.) "Vibrational medicine" is idealist/vitalist; it's based on the premise that we are, in a sense, "solidified energy" (which modern physics has proven), and as such, can be treated with various "energy" medicines, e.g. acupuncture and homeopathy. The author covers these two, along with others such as treating disease with light, flower essences, and 'laying on of hands' healing. These parts are informative and useful. Sometimes, unfortunately, he strays into New Age nonsense such as "channeling." Except for these lapses, this is a very educational book, and I would highly recommend it for people who are interested in their health, or the health of their loved ones.
