El Cid was a great warrior of the struggle between Christianity and Islam in Spain during the invasion o the Moores. El Cid was a warrior who fought on both sides of the war and finally conquered Valencia. His military daring and prowess allowed him to become a hero of mythical proportion. Attributes of the Weapon: -The shield is constructed of stainless steel with golden fittings. -The back ground of the shield is painted in an aged white with a black cross emblazoned across the background. -El Cid's coat of arms is displayed in gold upon the front of the shield with two lions and two castles.
