Does it float?
When I got it for my birthday, I played with it on the water and it only lasted for 5 minutes. It stinks and it wont even float on top of the water. I hate this toy. Don't waste your money on this toy. Use your money on something else like a bag of sand.

Has Potential
I just got this as a Christmas gift and it is fun! It works awesome on smooth surfaces and is fast as heck. Hard to control but still a blast. Its shortfalls however are the poor battery life. I got about 10-15 Minutes wort and the fact that it won't work over Carpet. I figured it would work but apparently it only works over Smooth surfaces, standing water, and ice. As soon as some snow comes down I'lll try it in the snow.

Pleasantly Surprised
I bought this thing because my kid insisted on having it, thinking from various reviews that it was going to be a big disappointment. It isn't. In fact, it's quite a bit of fun. However, it's not an outdoors all-terrain thing, but indoors on a clean floor it really scoots. It also works on a glassy water surface, but that's it--no grass, sluggish on even short carpet. The bad news for parents is that battery maintenance is a pain, and a time-consuming adult endeavor (cool down 20 min after each use, then charge for four hours, remove promptly, repeat cycle after each use--mess that up, and it's worthless). The kids are fighting over it, and even I had fun driving it around a bit.
