After adoption, you are shown your pet's room, and can use your 2,000 in KinzCash to decorate, buy furniture, clothes and food from the W Shop. Your pet relies on you to take care of it by monitoring the Happy, Health and Hunger meters. Webkinz received the 2006 iParenting Media Award and 2007 Toy of the Year (TOTY). Measures 10". Webkinz RULE!!!
I got this Black and White cat last summer and I LOVED it! You start out by nameing your pet and deciding if it is a boy or girl. Then you start to create a house for your pet and play games to earn "kinz-cash" or webkinz money. Many people say these games are gambling but they are NOT because there is no risk and the game Wishing Well may look like a slot machine but there is NO risk! It is just a way to earn money! I now have 6 webkniz and I love them all!

webkinz is great fun
This was a birthday gift for an autistic boy, and he loves it. His parents are having a good time earning points online when their child is not playing, so what does that tell you!! I am glad I chose this as a gift and would suggest their toys to anyone.

Great game & can be educational
My boyfriend's daughters love Webkinz - they are cute toys for the most part, some better than others. This toy has fuzzy yarn coming off of it that almost made the cat look bald and wiry, I ended up sending this toy back. The pet was shedding before I even took it out of the package.

As for Webkinz online - It's great for teaching them about earning money (kinzcash) and realizing that all the stuff they buy actually requires someone to earn money. They've even begun saving real money so they can buy more Webkinz. There are a lot of just-for-fun games, but the educational games earn them kinzcash more quickly. Really not bad for adults who like online games (they have games that resemble Tetris, Dr. Mario, and even asteroids). This toy was actually for me - my boyfriend and I now both have accounts and enjoy playing them (it's a bit addictive). It also provides us with a link to the girls when they aren't here. It is very good for that because you can send mail & presents through the Webkinz community. I absolutely recommend this for both kids and adults - if you don't want the actual toy you can get an online only pet from Ganz and still enjoy sharing something with your child.
