Colorful, Fun, Casual, As Pictured!
We were looking for light-weight, casual, durable dinnerware for my older mother to use. To see what they looked like in person, we selected a white and a black version of the 11" plate and had them shipped to us. They arrived and looked as expected: they are varied in the colors and concentration of the "confetti" in each plate. The white has a prettier color selection and how it is portrayed, and the black looks a little more reserved appearance, with the colors not showing quite as clearly. However, since we only are seeing one of each, I imagine that they will vary a bit for each example.

I had to laugh at the other reviewer commenting on the size. I agree that 11" is large in person, but on the other hand, it's 11"--which is exactly what the description says it is. If you order 11" and get 11", don't complain that it's 11"! For my mom, we're ordering a set of 9" plates for her to use for dinner, and using the 11" ones for serving plates.

As far as the colors are concerned, we selected the black and white because the other offerings looked garish to us (for our tastes) in the pictures. Again, I would suggest that you should only buy the other colors if you like how they look in the numerous photos on the site. However, if you are looking for casual, colorful, durable plates, I think these are great choices!

Like eating off asphalt
I ordered four of the black plates. One arrived broken. The remaining plates are not at all attractive. The recycled material is not evenly distributed throughout the plate, but it looks like a handful of gravel was deposited in the center of the plate. The surface of the plates are rough, not smooth. It is exactly like dining on an asphalt manhole cover. I would be ashamed to serve anyone food on one of these. I got a good price, not worth returning these, so I guess I will use them for underneath the houseplants or something.

Colorful is good!
I bought some of these plates in a store - the kiwi, magenta and turquoise - and the colors are bright and eye catching. I want to add to the collection with the white and orange. These are not for the faint of heart but if you want some fabulous color in your kitchen, they are great. Plus, they are supposedly made of recycled materials.
