Our kids really liked the tea set -- it's fun, creative play.
My kids liked this set a lot. They had fun painting the pieces and then using them for tea parties, which is especially nice because those tea parties are creative play instead of a prescribed game. The set came with the paints and brushes you need to paint it, and the "curing" was simple (on a cookie sheet in a warm oven). The four stars for durability are only a reflection of the fact that the pieces are ceramic or glass and so could break, which is not unexpected or unreasonable, but they're also thick enough to not be overly fragile. The cups seem a little small to me, but that hasn't stopped the kids from filling them up and putting snacks on the plates for their tea parties. Overall, I think this is a great toy.

Paint Your Own Tea Set
This is the second tea set I bought because I love it so! This is a special gift to my granddaughters. The product is wonderful! It could have easily been painted by both children at the age of 5 by themselves, or at 4 with supervision. The directions are very simple and easy to read. There is an abundance of paint to finish the product and after they bake they can be used time and time again. My granddaughters have had so much fun having tea parties! I highly recommend this!
