Band is not elastic
I bought this to replace a "magic wallet" that I had purchased from J. Crew SEVERAL years ago. My existing wallet had an elastic strap that held my money and receipts.
This wallet uses a 'ribbon' instead of an elastic strap. The ribbon does not expand and therefore is not very useful...unless you only carry a couple of dollars with you. I was very disappointed and doubt that I will actually carry this wallet.

I like this wallet
i have bought a magic wallet in the past, and the only difference between that wallet and this wallet is that my old magic wallet had an elastic strap inside, and this one just has a ribbon. Although in some of the other reviews I have read people seem to be disappointed with the ribbon, I actually prefer it to the elastic, because it seems to hold my money more securely and the elastic actually broke on my old wallet, and that is why i had to replace it. the only draw back is that the ribbon cannot hold alot of cash whereas the elastic could. so if you are a person who carries alot of cash, i would not buy this wallet.

Not bad at all.
I have to say that when I received this wallet in the mail I was a little unimpressed. The leather felt really fake and the whole thing looked pretty flimsy. I tried it out and it worked well. One weird thing I found out when using this wallet is that when you keep on flipping the bills back and forth the wallet kind of pushes the bills out of the top of the wallet...could be some potential problems there.

Overall I would have to say that this wallet is definitely not a bad find, especially for its price.
