Product Description

The permanent solution to sun-faded bumpers and trim moldings. Forever Black restores a dark, black, finish on sun-faded bumpers and body moldings. This is not a cosmetic dressing. It's an easy-to-use permanent dye. It permanently colors black plastic, rubber and vinyl with the same polymers that the manufacturers use. It is not a silicone dressing - silicone products will make plastic, vinyl and rubber appear to have regained their color but the change is temporary. Plus, silicone oils have been known to dry out the applied areas creating a bigger problem. Silicone also tends to leave a greasy residue even after buffing.

Customer Reviews

So far, so good5
We have a 97 Jeep Cherokee and the black vinyl wheel surround (not sure of the term) had faded terribly, they were almost a whitish grey. We applied about 3 coats of this product (it goes on easily with the applicator bottle it comes with). The first coat was splotchy because the vinyl soaked up the stuff. Then, by the 2nd and 3rd coat, it was becoming more of an even coat. Whalaa, I cannot believe the difference. I will try to post before and after pictures. It has made a huge difference in how the vehicle looks, and now we will see how it holds up over time. We had enough to do three coats around all four wheels. There seems to be enough in the bottle to repeat another treatment if necessary in the future. I would recommend this product.

Forever Black: The Best5
Great product. It turned the pale grey ashen looking plastic trim on my 01 Xterra a shiny jet black. It took a few coats to do the trick. Preparation is the key. you must remove all built up wax for this product to penetrate the plastic. It dries pretty quickly. Don't apply when it's windy. It dries too fast and you will get spotty results. I found that alternately applying horizontal then vertical coats yielded the best results. It's been on my car for over six weeks and has survived heavy rain and several trips to the car wash. My mechanic said " It looks like a new car". One bottle did the entire car. It even worked on the metal bumpers.

Good stuff5
My jeep's fender flares were about 2 shades away from being white. After using the cleaner and several applications, they went back to being black. Has lasted through several rain storms and they still remain black.
My only complaint is the applicator can be difficult at times. It's just like a shoe polish applicator. Other than that, good stuff.
