solar fountain
I love this fountain and so do the birds. They like to splash in it. I also like the sleek lines of it. It has added pizzaz to my porch. I wish it would not patina, but that cannot be avoided. The little guys don't mind.

Hard to put together
Sections are hard to put together. Do not fit together easily. Base acted like a plunger and caved in. Otherwise it is a nice birdbath and fountain. Others I purchased are made better.

I love it, and so do the birds!
We've had this birdbath in our garden for several weeks now, and are completely smitten with it. It's handsome, well-designed, and works beautifully. The water depth is perfect: deep enough for the bigger birds, but not too deep for the little goldfinches. The solar fountain works better than I expected: this time of year, the fountain starts to burble at around 9am, and keeps going until 5pm; the gentle splashing sound is very soothing. Design features that I particularly appreciate are the included copper disc, with which one replaces the solar fountain in the winter (I assume the solar panel might be harmed if the water above it froze), and the fact that the base can be filled with sand or gravel for greater stability. My only less-than-glowing comment is that the copper is a bit thin, and might dent if smacked with, say, a speeding soccer ball. But don't let that stop you - snag one quick at Amazon's great price, and tell the kids to practice in the front yard!
