Chip resistant but not chip proof
I've had the Mikasa Antique White china collection for about 6 years and use it for everyday and special occasions as it's the only china pattern we have. It always looks good and I get plenty of compliments about my china ware. Infact, family and friends have bought Mikasa Antique White because they liked mine so much. It's microwavable, dishwasher and oven proof and says chip resistant, however, two of my dinner plates got chipped in the dishwasher. The design is easily found for replacements and there's a huge selection of items to choose from when you want to add to your set; cake stands, different sized and shaped servers as well as full coffee and tea sets, pasta sets and canape platters to name a few. light and nice
I wanted a pretty set of white everyday plates. These are excellent. Not too heavy, very pretty. They arrived in perfect condition. No chipping as of yet! Doing fine in the dishwasher! Fine in a low heat oven also. I highly recommend!

Very Pleased
I purchased these plates as add-ons to a service for 8 set. I really like the Mikasa Antique White dishes. I had Pfaltzgraff Heritage. These are lighter but seem to take the abuses of everyday use very well. I wash them in the dishwasher and have had no problems.
